Eder Park Silver Maple

The Eder Park Silver Maple was recognized by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as the largest tree in the state in April of 2006.

It has a height of 114 feet, a 27-foot circumference at breast height, and a 106-foot average crown spread.

The tree is located in Elkton’s Eder Park and is set back in a wooded area not easily accessible to curious visitors, but a photo of the trunk is available here.
