Black Hill Ranger Station

St. Mary Anne’s Garden Show Seedling Wrap:

The Board wrapped about 130 white pine seedlings for give away at the St. Mary Anne’s Garden Show.

Treasurer’s Report:

Submitted by Tom Frederick – status was inspected and discussed by board members present.

NRCC Update:

Both Cecil students have been accepted. There is now a waiting list for enrollees. It should be a full (42) Camp this year. The new Curriculum Director will be Marie Perrin Miller from ACC.

St. Mary Anne’s Garden Show:

The Show will be on May 4 and 5 this year. The Board will take the electronic display. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday

Set-up 1:00 Gabrielle/Tom

Friday

9:00 – 1:00 Tom

1:00 – 4:30 Gabrielle

4:30 – 6:00 Kathie

Saturday

8:30 – 4:00 Ron

9:00 – 12:00 Bryan Lightner

12:30 – 4:00 Kathie

Big Tree Program

Gabrielle, Dori and John measured trees on April 8 on 3 sites in the NW part of the County. 7 Trees were measured.

The Board may need to measure 2 Yews at Mt. Harmons.

Some possible dates for measuring trees in the S part of the County are June 16 & 17. Let John know if you are available.

John showed BT pictures from both the State and County programs.

Ron updated some of the BT information and pictures on the local FB website.

New Business:

Ron will be unavailable for the June meeting.

Since the first Wednesday in July is on the 4^th (holiday), the July meeting will not be held unless there are urgent Timber Harvest Plans to review. In such case, the meeting will be re-scheduled for a different Wednesday, or business will be conducted via e-mail.
