Treasurer’s Report:

Tom reported on current CCFCDB finances, and all members present discussed available funding and future monetary needs for the board activities.

Natural Resources Careers Camp (NRCC) Update:

Gabrielle sent a thank you letter with pictures to the Elkton VFW for their $1000 donation this year to Cecil NRCC.  The 2020 online application should be available soon.  Tom circulated the thank you letters from the 3 Cecil students sent to the Board.  Ron and Gabrielle went over and chose certain NRCC pictures to add to the Cecil website.  Ron will also add the 3 thank you letters to the website.

Update on Big Tree Program:

John obtained some Cecil permission forms.  John, Gabrielle, Dori and Kathie will measure trees in Cecil County on Sunday, September 7th.  John visited the Honeylocust in Calvert that Michael mentioned last meeting.  He said it could be a County champion but it has poison ivy all over it.  Also the ownership will need to be determined.  John also assisted with some measuring in Harford County and presented some pictures.

A new volunteer has been trained and is doing some work in Frederick/Washington counties.

Website Update:

Ron added last month’s minutes and invited board members to submit content they would like to see on the site.

He also requested some more information on completed projects.  John will look into getting information on the Mt. Harmon’s Tree ID Trail project.

New Business:

Tom passed around the thank you letter and pictures from the Cecil Soil Conservation District for the Envirothon donation.
